Wow,
I would like to take a moment and welcome the month of April which is also known as "Poetry Month!" I love poetry and all that it brings to the class. This is the unit when all students in the class shine bright because poetry is so personal. A poem can have different meanings to all that read them and that is what makes them so special.
In this unit of study we will be writing all types of poems and learning a lot of different terms. On this page we will post many poems and we will have the time to read them as a class. The more poems we have on the page the better. Remember, we are on the internet and anyone can read our writing so it is important to try our best and use our best english when writing poetry. I can't wait to see how this page turns out!!!
